Are you interested in the mission of Bon Secours Volunteer Ministry but are unable to serve as a full-time volunteer? There are many ways to contribute to our mission.
Share your time and enthusiasm. Your personal presence is one of the best ways to support the program. Attending the volunteers’ commissioning or closing ceremonies, a formation night, or a morning reflection can offer much support to the volunteers. Please contact the office if you are interested in sharing your time with Bon Secours Volunteer Ministry.
Spread the word. Tell your friends, neighbors and co-workers about the Volunteer Ministry Program. Perhaps you know someone w
ho would like to apply to become a BSVM volunteer.
Partner with us. Become a ministry site for a full-time volunteer. Contact the office at 410.442.3161 for more information.
Support the program financially. It costs about $16,000 to support one volunteer for the year, including rent, health insurance, stipend and funds for community support. As you can see from the following description, contributions of any amount offer much support.
A contribution of:
| $15 | Pays for one volunteer to receive a book central to his or her volunteer formation. |
| $30 | Covers a volunteer’s food expenses for two weeks. |
| $50 | Helps a volunteer pay for transportation to his or her work site. |
| $150 | Sponsors one volunteer to attend a retreat which helps the volunteer process how he or she is growing from his or her service. |
| $325: | Covers one volunteer’s monthly stipend which is used for food, transportation, medical, and personal expenses. |
