The escalating number of people without health insurance has become a significant threat to the overall quality of life in the hospital's expanding service area. Faithful to its mission, Bon Secours-Holy Family continues to meet the challenge head-on.
Operation Safety Net-Altoona (OSNA), Bon Secours-Holy Family's program of medical care for the uninsured, has been treating patients since 1999. The service is specifically designed to meet the needs of people who cannot afford to purchase health insurance but have incomes higher than the maximum allowed to qualify for Medicaid.
